Ingredients For chocolate chip scones with nutella glaze

2 call purpose flour

1 Tbspbaking powder

1/2 tspfine salt

2 Tbspsugar

5 Tbspbutter, unsalted cold cut into chunks

1 cheavy cream, cold plus more for brushing the scones

1-1 1/2 cchocolate chips
- FOR GLAZE
-
1 1/2 cconfectioners' sugar
-
2 Tbspnutella or hazellnut spread
-
1/4+ cmilk or cream
-
1/2 tsppure vanilla extract

1 Tbspbutter
How To Make chocolate chip scones with nutella glaze

1Preheat oven 400 f Sift flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Using a pastry blender, cut in cold butter with four. The mixture should look like coarse crumbs.

2Make a well in the flour and pour in heavy cream. Fold everything together just to incorporate. Do not over work the dough.

3Fold in chocolate chips. Turn out onto a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Shape into a 8 inch circle about 1/4 inch thick.

4Cut dough into 8 wedges. Separate wedges about two inches apart. Brush scones with cream. Bake in oven for 15-18 minutes or until light golden. Do not over bake. Let scones cool for at least 20 minutes before applying glaze.

5FOR GLAZE Sift confectioners sugar in a microwave bowl. Sir in cream and mix well. Add Nutella and stir until all is combined, adding more cream if too thick. Stir in vanilla and add the butter.

6Microwave on high for 30 seconds. Whisk to smooth out lumps. Heat additional 10 seconds if butter not melted. Drizzle glaze over scones. Let set for 5 mins.
