Ingredients For caramel banana bread

  • 2
    bananas
  • 3/4 c
    butter
  • 1
    egg
  • 1/3 c
    white sugar
  • 1/3 c
    dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/3 c
    chocolate chips
  • 5-7
    soft caramels

How To Make caramel banana bread

    Mash bananas in mixing bowl.

    Melt butter in separate bowl (can microwave for 30 seconds). Mix into banana bowl.

    Beat egg in empty butter bowl. Mix into bananas.

    Mix in both sugars and vanilla.

    Mix in salt and baking powder.

    Mix in chocolate chips.

    Sift flower into banana bowl. Fold into mixture slowly; don't overmix.

    Pour into a greased 9x9 pan.

    Unwrap caramels and pull them apart. Dot the top of the mixture with the caramel.

    Bake for about 40 minutes, or until knife stuck in middle, comes out clean.
