How To Make mary lou's buttermilk doughnuts

1Heat oil to about 375 degrees.

2Beat egg until lemon colored.

3Add sugar to the beaten egg, beat until smooth.

4Alternately add the dry ingredients and the buttermilk.

5Roll out to desired thickness, add a little flour as you roll.

6Cut out and fry in hot lard until golden brown, usually about three minutes on each side.
