We love gingerbread and the addition of the blueberries really takes it over the top. Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream.

Ingredients For blueberry molasses gingerbread

2 ca. p. flour

1/2 tspground ginger

1 tspcinnamon

1/2 tspsalt

1 tspbaking soda

1 cbuttermilk

3 Tbspmolasses

1 cblueberries
-
3 Tbspsugar

1/2 cbutter
-
1 csugar

1egg
How To Make blueberry molasses gingerbread

1Cream butter & sugar. Add the egg and mix well.

2Mix flour, ginger, cinnamon and salt and mix well. Measure out buttermilk in a measuring cup and dissolve baking soda in the buttermilk. Add buttermilk to the butter/sugar mixture.

3Once mixed together, add dry ingredients and blend well. Gently fold in blueberries.

4Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9 inch square pan. Sprinkle the top of the batter with the 3 tblsp. of sugar.

5Bake in a 350 degree oven for 50-60 minutes. Serve warm
