I found this recipe in one of those weekly magazines found in the check-out line. I did tweak it a little to make it my own. It is awesome! Whenever I make it (it makes two) I freeze one and we eat one. It is usually gone within hours.

Ingredients For best ever banana bread

1 3/4 call purpose flour

1/4 tspsalt

1 tspbaking soda

1 1/2 stickbutter or margarine

1 1/2 cgranualted sugar

2eggs
-
1/4 cbuttermilk
-
1 tspvanilla extract
-
1/2 cchopped walnuts
-
1 cwell mashed, overripe bananas (about 2)

1/4 tspbanana extract (optional)
- GLAZE:

1 cconfectioners' sugar
-
2-3 Tbsplemon juice
How To Make best ever banana bread

1Preheat oven to 350F. Grease and flour two 8 1/2 by 4 1/2 inch loaf pans. Mix flour, salt and baking soda. Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

2Add flour mixture and buttermilk, alternating. Beat batter for 2-3 minutes. Add vanilla, nuts and bananas. Spoon into pans. Bake about 50 minutes til toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.

3For the glaze, stir confectioners' sugar and lemon juice together until smooth. Pour over cooled loaves. These are so delicious.
