This is by far my all-time favorite banana bread recipe. This produces a deliciously moist and flavorful loaf of banana bread.

Ingredients For banana bread

  • 1 stick
    butter, room temperature
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 1/2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp

    ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • OPTIONAL
  • cinnamon sugar to dust pan
  • 1/2 c
    chopped pecans

How To Make banana bread

  • Oven set to preheat.

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Dusting greased pans with cinnamon sugar.

    Grease loaf pans (I use cooking spray) and then lightly dust the interior with cinnamon sugar.
  • Adding eggs to creamed butter and sugar.

    With an electric mixer, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, beating well.
  • Mixing in flour, baking soda, and salt.
