  • 1/3 c
    butter
  • 2/3 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1/4 c
    buttermilk
  • 3 md
    bananas,extra ripe are the best
  • 1 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1 c
    bran cereal, not flakes
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 3/4 c
    dried apricots, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tsp
    pumpkin pie spices

How To Make apricot-banana bread

    In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and mix well.

    In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, soda, salt, and pumpkin pie spice.

    In a small bowl, Combine mashed bananas and buttermilk.

    Combine flour mixture and banana mixture alternately to the creamed mixture. Stir in bran, apricots, and nuts.

    Pour into a greased 9X5X3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 55-60 minutes or until bread test done. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
