We gad a luncheon at work this week and one of the physicians brought this bread. It was so very moist and flavorful.

Ingredients For applesauce bread - steph

  • 28 oz
    jar of applesauce
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    oil
  • 4
    eggs
  • 6 Tbsp
    milk
  • 4 c
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 3 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp
    allspice
  • 1 1/2 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar

How To Make applesauce bread - steph

    Mix applesauce, sugar, oil, eggs, and milk together in large bowl. Sift dry ingredients and add to first mixture. Beat well. Add one cup chopped pecans. Pour into 8 well greased baby loaf pans.

    Topping: 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 chopped pecans and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Mix and sprinkle over top of batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

    Keep in refrigerator. Can be frozen. ENJOY!
