I have made this several times. This recipe makes two delicious loaves of spicy pumpkin bread.

A tasty fall quick bread. There's ample pumpkin flavor, but you can also taste the clove and nutmeg. It adds a little spice to the pumpkin bread. Moist, yet dense, enjoy this with a hot cup of coffee for a nice breakfast treat. Or, it's tasty as a midday pick-me-up.

Ingredients For amish pumpkin bread

3 cgranulated sugar

1 ccanola or vegetable oil

4eggs, beaten

1 lbcanned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix)

3 1/2 call-purpose flour

2/3 cwater

2 tspbaking soda

2 tsp(scant tsp.) salt

1/2 tspground cloves

1 tspcinnamon

1 tspallspice

1 tspnutmeg
How To Make amish pumpkin bread

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour two 9 X 5-inch loaf pans.

2Mix sugar, oil, and eggs together.

3Add pumpkin.

4Add dry ingredients and finally water, stirring until just mixed.

5Pour batter into two greased and floured pans.

6Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
