This recipe comes from a 40-year-old cookbook I believe belonged to my mother. I love, love, love cheese bread. One of my local supermarkets used to make it in their bakery but stopped several years ago and I haven't been able to find it since. This recipe is so easy I can make it anytime!

NOTE: If you prefer to use a large loaf pan, here are the directions. For a 9x5" loaf pan, bake in a 350-degree oven for 40-45 minutes. For a 8x4" loaf pan, bake in a 325-degree oven for 50-60 minutes. When using these larger pans, check the bread FREQUENTLY toward the last ten minutes of baking time, using the toothpick method.
