I needed to use up some Avocado and had some yummy prosciutto. So, this is the delicious melt I made. We loved them. The saltiness of the ham meshed well with the creamy richness of the Avocado. I'll be making these all summer. Yum! Enjoy!

Ingredients For ~ prosciutto avocado melt ~ cassies

  • 1
    english muffin
  • 1 Tbsp
    softened, butter
  • 1 clove
    garlic
  • slivered
    red onion
  • 2 slice
    prosciutto
  • 1
    avacado, sliced and i sprinkle with some lemon juice
  • 4 slice
    ripe tomato
  • Mozzarella
    cheese - fresh or shredded
  • Sea
    salt, pepper and dried basil
  • balsamic
    vinegar - optional
  • Parm
    cheese

How To Make ~ prosciutto avocado melt ~ cassies

    Turn on your broiler. Slice muffin in half. Butter both sides. Broil until golden, a few minutes. Rub with clove of garlic.

    Place a few slivers of red onion and 1 slice of Prosciutto on each halve. Next a couple slices of Avocado. Sprinkle lightly with salt, pepper and dried basil. Add 2 slices of tomato, lightly salt, add desired amount of cheese and sprinkle with more basil.

    Place under broiler 2nd notch from top in oven. Broil for roughly 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbling.

    Drizzle with some good balsamic vinegar. Salt, pepper if desired and sprinkle with some fresh shredded Parmesan. Enjoy! We love them.
