Ingredients For potato scones

  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 c
    mashed potatoes
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    shortening
  • 3/4 c
    milk
  • 4 Tbsp
    baking powder

How To Make potato scones

  • 1
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder; add potato and shortening; work in with finger tips. Add milk mix to a soft dough. Roll out 3/4" on floured board. Cut with biscuit cutter and cook on hot greased griddle about 20 minutes, turning over when half cooked.

    Split, butter and serve hot.
