Ingredients For poppy seed bread

  • 3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 1/8 c
    cooking oil
  • 2 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    poppy seeds
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    almond extract
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    butter extract
  • GLAZE
  • 1/2 tsp
    butter flavoring
  • 1/2 tsp
    almond extract
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/4 c
    orange juice, fresh
  • 3/4 c
    sugar

How To Make poppy seed bread

  • 1
    Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and pour into lightly oiled loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Prepare glaze by mixing butter flavoring, almond flavoring, vanilla, orange juice and sugar. Pour over warm bread. Remove from pans when cool, cut and serve.
