I got this recipe from a woman on another list. IT goes good with a tossed green salad.

Ingredients For pepperoni batter bread

  • 3 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1/2 c
    finely chopped pepperoni
  • 1/4 c
    grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 pkg
    quick acting yeast
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    softened butter
  • 1 1/4 c
    hot water

How To Make pepperoni batter bread

    Mix 2 1/4 cups flour with remaining dry ingredients and yeast in a large bowl.

    Stir in butter and water and mix in only enough flour to make a very thick batter. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes.

    Turn into a buttered 1 1/2 quart casserole and let rise in a warm place about 35-45 minutes.

    Bake in a preheated 375 degree F oven for 35 minutes or until done.

    Remove from casserole dish and cool on rack.
