I love hot, homemade bread of all kinds. Here is something that I created using my Classic Dinner Roll recipe and kicking it up a little bit. These are great served with spaghetti or your favorite soup or stew.

How To Make parmesan knots
-
1Combine 3/4 cup flour, sugar, undissolved yeast and salt in a large bowl.
-
2Heat milk, water and butter until very warm (120º to 130ºF).
-
3Add to flour mixture. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer, scraping bowl occasionally.
-
4Add 1/4 cup flour; beat 2 minutes at high speed. Stir in enough remaining flour to make soft dough.
-
5Knead on lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 8 to 10 minutes. Cover; let rest 10 minutes.
-
6Divide dough into 14 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a 10-in. rope and tie into a knot; tuck ends under. Place 2 in. apart on a greased baking sheet.
-
7Cover; let rise in warm, draft-free place until doubled in size, about 30 minutes.
-
8Bake at 400° for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
-
9In a large bowl, combine the remaining ingredients; brush the warm knots with the mixture.
-
10Serve warm with your favorite spaghetti, soup or stew.
