This is one of my very favorite breads to make as an appetizer and even a side for pasta dishes. It is easy and everyone loves the tangy, cheesy taste. You can adjust the amount of olives you add to suite your own taste. This is a crowd pleaser for sure!

Ingredients For olive cheese bread

  • 1 lg
    can black olives, chopped
  • 1 c
    green olives, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 c
    duke's mayonnaise
  • 8 oz
    provolone cheese slices
  • 1 c
    parmesan cheese, grated
  • salt
    to taste
  • pepper
    to taste
  • 1
    loaf french bread
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic powder

How To Make olive cheese bread

  • 1
    Finely chop olives and add to a large mixing bowl. Add butter, mayonnaise, parmesan cheese, and seasonings. Mix well.

    Slice French bread lengthwise and scoop out a small amount of the bread on each side to create a shallow channel.

    Lay provolone cheese on the bread and spread the olive mixture over the cheese.

    Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes. Let cool slightly and slice.
