I normally make this on rainy days... When it's a winter or rainy day I serve it cold. When it's not rainy or winter I serve warm :)

1 Cupyellow cornmeal

1 Cupflour

1/3 cupsugar

4 Tbsbaking powder

1/2 Tspsalt

1 Cupmilk (whole or 2%)

1egg (beaten)

1/4 Cupvegetable oil
How To Make grandma's corn bread

1#1:Pre-Heat oven to 400 degrees

2#2:Mix dry ingredients in a bowl & set aside

3#3:In a 2nd Bowl mix wet ingredients together

4#4:Mix dry & wet ingredients together

5#5:Pour batter in a greased "8X"8 baking pan

6#6:Bake 25 minutes or until top is slightly brown
