How To Make cheese and chive damper

1Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat; set aside.

2Combine flour, baking powder, cheddar, chives and garlic in a bowl. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture. Add buttermilk and egg to the ell, and mix well with a fork just until the dough is moistened and it beings to form a slightly sticky dough.

3Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead until the dough is smooth. Shape dough into a ball and place in center of prepared baking sheet. Flatten dough ball into a disc. Score the dough round into six wedges. Sprinkle the top with a light flour dusting.

4Place baking sheet in oven, and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
