A fellow charity worker brought this to a luncheon--and I was hooked! This is better than any "beer batter bread I have ever made!

Ingredients For cheddar bacon beer bread

3/4 cwarm, flat beer (105-115 degrees)

1envelope dry yeast
-
1egg, beaten
-
1/4 csugar

1/4 colive oil

3/4 cpeeled, seeded, chopped ripe tomato

3/4 cgrated sharp cheddar cheese

4pieces bacon, cooked extra crisp

3 1/2 call purpose flour
How To Make cheddar bacon beer bread

1Combine beer and yeast in mixing bowl and let stand until yeast is dissolved; add remaining ingredients and blend well.

2Pour into a greased 9x5 loaf pan, cover with towel, and let rise until doubled (about an hour).

3Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

4Bake 30 minutes.

5Let cool 10 minutes, then remove from pan and finish cooling on a wire rack.
