I love to bake bread, especially on a cold and rainy day or even when it is snowing. Apples go so well together with cheddar.

Ingredients For apple cheddar bread

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups peeled chopped apples (used galas)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (used cracker barrel)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 cup milk

How To Make apple cheddar bread

  • 1
    Combine dry ingredients except apples and cheese.

    Combine eggs, milk, and melted butter.
  • 3
    Add to dry ingredients. Stir in apples and cheese and nuts.

    Spoon into well greased and floured 9x5 inch loaf pan.

    Bake at 350 for 65-70 minutes. Test for doneness in center. Let stand 5 minutes before removing from pan.
