My husband really loves cornbread.He would probably eat it every nite if i fixed it,especially when pintos are involved.I decided to try something a little differant instead of just plain cornbread.It's simple,quick,and mighty tastie.That's what Southern cooking is all about!

Ingredients For tex-mex cornbread

  • 2 pkg
    cornbread mix (not the sweet kind)
  • 1 sm
    can cream style corn
  • 1 sm
    can green chiles (chopped)
  • 1 1/2 c
    grated monteray jack and cheddar cheese

How To Make tex-mex cornbread

    Preheat oven to 375.
  • 2
    Prepare cornbread as directed on package.
  • 3
    Add remaining ingredients.Place in 13x9 pan.Spray bottom with Pam . Back for 35 to 40 mins and golden brown on top.
