This is a good recipe ,if you like thin, crisp bread. It is really good with fried sour kraut and soup beans aka pinto beans.

1 cself-rising corn meal

1 cself rising flour

3/4 cbuttermilk

1 Tbspcooking oil

1 cwater
How To Make sharon's quick & easy cornbread

1Preheat oven to 500 degrees.

2In a 12in. iron skillet add oil.

3In a bowl mix meal,flour,oil from the skillet, buttermilk, and water. Pour into skillet.

4Bake until edges are brown approx. 15-20 min. then turn oven to broil until golden brown. Turn onto plate and cut into small squares.
