Whenever a recipe calls for self-rising cornmeal and i do not have it already on hand, i whip this up and it is a perfect substitute ;)

Ingredients For self-rising cornmeal

  • 1 c
    cornmeal
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 3/4 - 1 tsp
    salt

How To Make self-rising cornmeal

  • 1
    Sift all the ingredients together and use in place of self-rising cornmeal in any recipe!
