For the rhubarb fans out there, this makes a pretty good loaf of bread. Try it!

Ingredients For rhubarb bread

  • 1 c
    sour milk
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    oil
  • 1
    egg
  • 2-1/2 c
    flour
  • 1-1/2 c
    chopped rhubarb
  • 1 Tbsp
    melted butter
  • 1/2 c
    sugar

How To Make rhubarb bread

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 350^. Combine milk, baking soda, salt & vanilla in small bowl; mix well. Combine brown sugar, oil & egg in mixer bowl; mix well. Add milk mixture alternately with flour, mixing well after each addition. Stir in rhubarb. Spoon into greased and floured loaf pan. Sprinkle with mixture of melted butter & sugar. Bake for 1 hour.
