-
2 Tbspmelted butter
- MIX WELL AND LET STAND FOR 5 MINUTES - THEN ADD:

- STIR ALL INGREDIENTS WELL. USE ENOUGH FLOUR TO MAKE A STICKY DOUGH. YOU DON'T REALLY HAVE TO KNEAD THE DOUGH. COVER AND LET STAND UNTIL DOUBLE. I LET IT STAND SEVERAL HOURS, UNTIL IN ALMOST COLLAPSES ON ITSELF. SHAPE INTO LOAVES AND LET RISE.
How To Make plain old rye bread
-
1BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR 35-45 MINUTES. I USE A MEAT THERMOMETER AND COOK IT UNTIL IT REACHES 180-190 DEGREES
-
2I sometimes add about a 1/2 cup of old fashioned oats that I have blended into flour and 1 cup of old fashioned oats, when I am adding the rye flour. Then I only use 4 cups of rye flour
