My husband, who is NOT a health nut loves these pancakes. I make them at least once a month. Yes, they're healthy, but also very yummy!

Ingredients For oatmeal-wheat pancakes w/ walnuts

1-1/2 cultra-fine old-fashioned oats, like an organic brand

1-1/2 cwhole wheat flour

2 tspbaking soda

1 tspbaking powder
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1-1/2 cbuttermilk
-
1 cfat-free milk
-
1/4 ccanola oil
-
1 lgegg
-
1/3 csplenda or sugar

4 Tbspchopped walnuts
How To Make oatmeal-wheat pancakes w/ walnuts

1In lg bowl, combine oats, flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.

2In another bowl, combine buttermilk, milk, oil, egg and sugar. Mix w/ mixer on medium, until smooth. Mix wet ingredients w/ dry ingredients until smooth. stir in walnuts.

3Spray a medium skillet w/ cooking spray made w/ canola oil. Place skillet over medium heat. Ladle 1/4 cup batter into skillet, cook 2-4 min each side, or untill golden. repeat w/ remaining batter. serve w/ warm maple syrup.
