I love dumplings, I was in Texas visiting and my friend Shirley made these for us. They are so good. But do not peek while cooking !

Ingredients For no peek dumpling's

  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    shortnening
  • 1/2 c
    ice cold water
  • 2 c
    chicken broth
  • 2 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    butter

How To Make no peek dumpling's

  • 1
    LARGE POT add 2 cups water, 2 cups broth and 1/2 cup butter, HEAT on medium. Salt and pepper to taste.

    BOWL, BLEND salt, flour, and shortening until it looks like cornmeal.

    SLOWLY ADD ice water until it makes dough.

    ROLL out and cut into squares. ADD to broth, turn heat down to simmer. COOK 15 minutes, with lid on, DO NOT OPEN LID. DO NOT PEEK !
