1 pkgactive baker's yeast

2 Tbspoil

1 cwarm water

1 1/2 tspsalt

2 Tbspchopped chives

1 tspdill

1 Tbspchopped parsley

3 csifted flour

1 stickbutter

1egg, beaten

How To Make herb sticks, mom's

1Soften yeast in warm water in a bowl, stir in oil and seasonings. Gradually add flour to make a stiff dough. Knead a few times. Cover and let rise until doubled. Divide into 4 parts. Roll each on a floured surface to a size of 10x8 inches. Brush with melted butter. Cut into 8x2 inch strips. Roll lengthwise into breadsticks. Place on cookie sheet, brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with salt and caraway. Cover and let double. Bake at 400 degrees 15-20 minutes.
