How To Make grandma's sour cream crescent rolls
-
1Place butter in a small saucepan and bring to boil Remove from heat.
-
2Stir in sour cream and sugar. Cool to 115 degrees
-
3Dissolve yeast in warm water and let sit for 5 minutes
-
4Stir in Sour cream mixture and beaten eggs.
-
5Combine all dry ingredients. Gradually add dry ingredients to sour cream and egg and yeast mixture, mixing well.
-
6Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hrs.
-
7Punch down dough and divide into four equal parts
-
8Roll each part into a 10 in round. I use a pizza stone covered with flour. Cut into four with a pizza cutter and then cut each of the four into three. Ending up with 12 sections.
-
9Brush with melted butter (this is in addition to what you used in the dough) then roll up from the wide end and place on ungreased cookie sheet point side down and curl in slightly.
-
10Bake in 375 degree pre heated oven for 10 minutes (golden brown)
-
11Brush with more melted butter after removing from oven and enjoy!!
