This is the cornbread recipe we use when we make Oma's Thanksgiving stuffing.

Ingredients For golden cornbread

  • 1 c
    aunt jemima enriched yellow corn meal
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 2-4 Tbsp
    sugar

How To Make golden cornbread

    Preheat oven to 425.
  • 2
    In a large bowl, combine corn meal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add milk, egg an oil. Beat until fairly smooth about 1 minute.

    Bake in greased or sprayed 8 inch square baking pan 20 to 23 minutes or until wooden pick insert in center comes out clean.
