Ingredients For easy buttery brioche rolls

1 cwater, warm

3 Tbspwarm milk

2-1/2 Tbspsugar

2 tspactive dry yeast

2 lgeggs,room temperature

3 cbread flour
-
1/3 call purpose flour

1 1/2 tspsalt
-
2 1/2 Tbspbutter, unsalted softened

1 Tbspsesame seeds or poppy seeds
How To Make easy buttery brioche rolls

1Mi the water,milk sugar and yeast in a glass measuring cup. Let stand until foam develops,15-20 minutes.Beat one of the eggs.

2Mix the flour and salt together,add the butter an mix until crumbly.Add the yeast mixture,egg and mix well,the dough should be quite sticky. If you add more flour it will make it tough so please don't! Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface,knead for ten minutes,then spray or lightly oil a bowl put in the dough,cover with plastic wrap and let it rise to double the size,about two hours depending on how warm your kitchen is.

3Now,using a dough scraper,divide the dough into eight pieces,shape into rolls gently,folding the dough underneath while turning to shape them and place them two inches apart on your baking sheet. Cover with plastic and let them rise again,about two hours. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees,place a water pan on the bottom of the oven,with the other beaten egg,lightly brush the rolls,add your choice of seeds,and bake for fifteen to eighteen minutes turning the pan once during baking to ensure even browning.remove them to a cooling rack. Once the are cooled,( if you can wait that long!) I cut them in half,lightly butter then grill them before putting my favorite burger on one! Truly worth the effort and they work well for any sandwich!! Enjoy!:)
