Ingredients For cranberry buttermilk scones

  • 2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 6 Tbsp
    butter
  • 2/3 c
    sweetened dried cranberries
  • 1/2 c
    buttermilk
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make cranberry buttermilk scones

  • 1
    Stir together first 5 ingredients; cut in butter with a pastry blender. Stir in cranberries.

    Combine buttermilk, egg and vanilla; mix into flour mixture until just moistened.

    Drop dough in 10 tablespoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet. Bake at 375F for 15 minutes or until golden. Makes 10 scones.
