This is a mildly sweet, buttery cornbread...quite old-fashioned except for the use of sour cream. However, the sour cream imparts a moistness and delicious flavor.

How To Make country kitchen cornbread

1In a bowl, stir together first 5 ingredients until blended.

2In another bowl, beat together remaining ingredients until blended.

3Add the dry ingredients and stir until mixture is blended. Do not overmix.

4Spread batter into a greased 9x9-inch pan and bake in a 350° oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until top is golden brown and a cake tester, inserted in center, comes out clean.

5Cut into squares and serve warm.
