Ingredients For cherry citrus scones

  • 2 c
    flour
  • 3 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 2 tsp
    grated orange peel
  • 1/3 c
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    dried cherries
  • 1/4 c
    milk
  • 1 lg
    egg

How To Make cherry citrus scones

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • 2
    Spray scone pan with cooking spray.
  • 3
    Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and orange zest.
  • 4
    Cut in butter, until mixture looks like coarse crumbs.
  • 5
    Mix together milk and egg. Add to flour mixture.
  • 6
    Add dried cherries and mix until soft dough forms.

    Place dough in scone pan.
  • 8
    Fill empty scone areas with water.

    Bake 15-20 minutes, until golden.

    Let scones cool in pan 15 minutes.
