This is a traditional bread from my tribe that back in the day was baked in the sand next to a very hot fire. Today we add baking powder and salt and bake it in our ovens. It's wonderful with jam and butter! It's like a biscuit, but more dense.

4 cflour

2 tspsalt

4 tspbaking powder

How To Make buckskin bread

1Wisk all your dry ingredients together, then gradually add water to bring the dough together so it's solid, but not wet.

2Knead for 5 minutes.

3Spread it out flat onto a large cookie sheet, or in a cake pan so it's about 1/2" thick.

4Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes
