My roommate used to make this all the time with a can of Natural Lite Beer. Its surprisingly good.

Ingredients For beer bread

  • 3 c
    self-rising flour
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1
    egg at room temp.
  • 12 oz
    beer at room temp (1 can)

How To Make beer bread

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees; grease a 9 inch loaf pan. Mix the flour & sugar in a bowl. Mix in the egg and beer. Pour into pan and bake 45 to 50 minutes or until the top browns and a toothpick comes out clean.
