I don't know about all of you but my family loves beer bread with soups and stews in the winter time. I always bought the beer bread kit from Taste of Home parties which was expensive. I found this recipe on the Internet and it has saved me money again and again. Enjoy!

Ingredients For beer bread

  • 3 c
    self rising flour
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 can
    12 oz. beer (your favorite brand)

How To Make beer bread

  • 1
    Mix together by hand and pour into greased bread pan, bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Melt 1/4 c. butter and pour over bread, bake an additional 10 minutes.

    No self rising flour: take 1 cup minus 2 tbsp all- purpose flour, 1 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/8 tsp salt. Makes 1 cup but you can double or triple as needed.
