1 1/4 call purpose flour

2/3 cwhole-wheat flour

1 Tbspbaking powder

1/2 tspground allspice or cinnamon

1/4 tspsalt

2large egg whites

1large egg lightly beaten

2 cmilk

1/2 cmashed ripe banana

1/4 cvegetable oil

1/4 cchopped pecans or walnuts
How To Make banana waffles

1PRE HEAT LIGHTLY GREASED WAFFLE IRON. IN LARGE BOWL, STIR TOGETHER THE FLOURS, BAKING POWDER, ALLSPICE, AND SALT. IN A MEDIUM BOWL, COMBINE EGG WHITES, EGG, MILK, BANANA, OIL AND NUTS. ADD TO THE FLOUR MIXTURE ALL AT ONCE AND STIR UNTIL JUST COMBINED.

2USEING 1 TO 1-1/4 CUPS OF BATTER FOR EACH WAFFLE, POUR THE BATTER INTO THE GRIDS. CLOSE LID QUICKLY; DO NOT OPEN DURING BAKING. FOLLOW YOUR IRONS DIRECTIONS FOR BAKING; REMOVE WITH A FORK. IF BATTER BECOMES TO THICK, THIN WITH A LITTLE MILK.
