Ingredients For very berry muffins

2 stickbutter, unsalted

1 1/2 csugar
-
4 lgeggs
-
2 tspvanilla extract
-
4 tspbaking powder
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
4 csifted flour
-
1 cmilk
-
4-5 cfresh berries
-
granulated sugar mixed with cinnamon or nutmeg for topping
How To Make very berry muffins

1Cream the softened butter and sugar;add the eggs and mix very gently. Add the vanilla, baking powder and salt;alternately add the flour and milk. DON'T OVER BEAT!

2By hand, mix in the berries; spoon into muffin papers. Top each with 1/2 tsp. sugar mixture. Bake at 375° F. for 25 minutes. (Sometimes I use frozen berries, not fresh. Don't thaw or add the frozen juice. Will take longer to bake.)
