Ingredients For southern biscuit muffins

  • 2 1/2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 3/4 c
    cold butter
  • 1 c
    cold milk

How To Make southern biscuit muffins

    Preheat oven to 400. Grease 12 (2 1/2 inch) muffin cups. These muffins brown better on the side and bottom when baked without paper liners.

    Combine the flour, sugar and baking powder in large bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk just until flour mixture is moistened. Spoon evenly into prepared muffin cups.

    Bake 20 minutes or until golden. Remove from pan. Cool on wire rack. Makes 12 Muffins.
