3/4 cbrown sugar

1/3 ccanola oil

1 cbuttermilk

2 cpears, peeled and chopped
- TOPPING

1/3 cbrown sugar

1/2 tspginger, shredded

2 tspbutter, melted
How To Make pear ginger muffins

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2Line muffin pans with papers.

3Beat brown sugar, oil and egg until well blended.

4Beat in buttermilk.

5Add flour, baking soda, ginger and cinnamon and beat until blended.

6Fold in pears.

7Fill muffin cups two-thirds full.

8Topping: Combine brown sugar and ginger.

9Stir in butter until crumbly.

10Sprinkle Topping over muffins.

11Bake 18-20 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.

12Cool in pan 5 minutes before removing to wire rack.
