Cornbread was one of the first breads I made,this is the recipe I used. If you don't care for sweet cornbread,use less sugar,I personally like sweet cornbread.

Ingredients For cornbread muffins

  • 1/2 c oil,margarine or butter
  • 1 c flour
  • 1 c cornmeal
  • 1 t. baking powder
  • 1 t. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 c milk

How To Make cornbread muffins

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Add oil,butter or margarine in 12 cup muffin pan. Heat until hot. Combine dry ingredients. Beat eggs into milk. Stir liquids into dry ingredients. Pour hot fat into mix,stir quickly and pour evenly into hot muffin pan. Bake 15-20 minutes.
