Ingredients For corn bread

  • 1 c
    corn meal
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 2 md
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c
    butter, room temperature
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/3 c
    cake flour
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp
    baking powder

How To Make corn bread

    Set Oven to 350. Cream Butter and add sugar.

    Mix corn meal, milk, eggs and vanilla together in a bowl. Sift Flours, baking powder and salt in a separate bowl
  • 3
    Add dry ingredients to the creamed butter mixture alternately with wet mixture in thirds till just blended. Spoon into foil cupcake cups. You can also butter a 8in square pan. bake for 30 min in cupcake form and 45 min in pan form.

    High Altitudes you may want to add an extra egg and bake at 400.
