This recipe comes from my Southern Living 1991 Annual cookbook. I like it because the flavors are a little more unusual; and delicious! Try them you'll like them!

Ingredients For cheddar raisin muffins

2 call-purpose flour

3 1/2 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspsalt

1 tsppaprika
-
1/4 cbutter or margarine (i use butter)

1 ccheddar cheese, shredded

2/3 craisins
-
1egg, beaten
-
1 cmilk
How To Make cheddar raisin muffins

1Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl; cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in cheese and raisins. Make a well in center of mixture.

2Combine egg and milk; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. Spoon batter into greased and floured muffin pans. Bake at 425F for 20-25 minutes. Remove from pans. Yeild: 14 muffins.
