1/2 cshortening

1 cpacked brown sugar

1egg

1 cmilk

2 tspvanilla extract

How To Make brown sugar muffins

1In a mixing bowl, cream shortening and brown sugar. Add egg, milk and vanilla. Combine the dry ingredients and add to the creamed mixture just until they are blended.

2Fill paper lined muffin cups 3/4th's full. Bake at 400 for 16-20 minutes or until center tests done. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack. 1 dozen.
