My family loves traditional Baklava, but it takes time to make. So when I found this recipe on another website, I just had to share it. Recipe: Nigella Lawson Enjoy!

Ingredients For baklava muffins
- FOR THE FILLING:

1/2 cchopped walnuts

1/3 csugar

1 1/2 tspcinnamon

3 Tbspbutter, melted
- FOR THE MUFFINS:

1 cup plus 7 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspbaking soda

1/4 csugar

1 lgegg
-
3 Tbspunsalted butter, melted

1 cup plus 2 tablespoons buttermilk
- FOR THE TOPPING:

1/2 choney
How To Make baklava muffins

1Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease a 12 cup muffin pan. Mix all filling ingredients together in a small bowl. Set aside.

2In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and sugar. Set aside. In a large wide mouth measuring cup or small bowl, whisk together the egg, melted butter, and buttermilk.

3Make a well in the dry ingredients, pour in the liquid ingredients, and mix lightly and gently, remembering to keep it bumpy rather than making it smooth, otherwise muffins will be heavy. Fill muffin cups 1/3 full, add scant tablespoon of filling, then cover with more muffin mixture until 2/3 full.

4Bake for 15 minutes. Remove muffins from pan to a wire rack and drizzle with honey. Enjoy!
