Ingredients For applesauce muffins

  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 1 c
    applesauce
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 c
    oatmeal
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • TOPPING:
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 3/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 3/4 c
    quick cooking oats, dry
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 tsp
    ground cinnamon

How To Make applesauce muffins

  • 1
    heat oven to 350.
  • 2
    combine all the topping ingredients in a medium bowl and use a pastry cutter to cut the butter into the ingredients until its to a crumb consistency.

    combine all the muffin ingredients and stir until moistened.
  • 4
    lightly grease muffin pan cups or use paper muffin cup liners in muffin pan. fill cups 3/4 full and sprinkle generously with crumb topping.

    bake for 25-30 minutes.
