These delicious All-Bran Waffles are a healthy alternative to ALL-BRAN muffins. I started making them in 1975, and still have the original recipe pamphlet from the Kellog Co. Instead of the usual butter and syrup on the top, I only use my homemade strawberry, rhubarb freezer jam. Naturally I freeze quite a few to enjoy at another time. Ingredients For all-bran waffles supreme w/homemade jam

    eggs, .....separated !
  • 1-1/2 c
    milk
  • 3/4 c
    all-bran
  • 1-1/3 c
    flour
  • 4 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    very soft butter

How To Make all-bran waffles supreme w/homemade jam

    Gather all the cooking ingredients. Separate the eggs, and beat the yolks slightly. Add the milk and ALL-BRAN to the egg yolks. Let this soak while you sift together all the dry ingredients.

    Add the sifted dry ingredients into the liquid mixture. Beat the egg whites till stiff.

    Fold in the soft butter, then gently fold in the beaten egg whites. You might have to add a little milk, if the batter is to thick. to get the rig Start heating the waffle maker. Bake in the hot waffle maker until no steam is visible. This recipe makes 6-8 waffles.

    I usually make a larger recipe, then freeze them for later use. They don't last long.. they make a great evening snack!... LOL
