3/4 cpecans, chopped

2 1/2 call purpose flour

1 csugar
-
1 tspground cinnamon

3/4 tspbaking soda

1/2 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspsalt

1/4 tspground nutmeg

1 1/2 cfresh ripe peaches, peeled and diced

3/4 ccarrots, grated
-
2/3 cvegetable oil
-
1/2 cmilk
-
2 lgeggs, beaten
How To Make spiced peach carrot bread

1Preheat the oven to 350°F Bake the pecans in a single layer in a shallow pan for 8 to 10 minutes or until toasted and fragrant, stirring halfway through.

2Stir together the flour and next 6 ingredients in a large bowl; add peaches, next 4 ingredients and the toasted pecans, stirring just until the dry ingredients are moistened. Spoon the batter into a lightly greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pan.

3Bake at 350°F for 1 hour and 5 minutes to 1 hour and 10 minutes or until a long wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan on a wire rack for 5 minutes. Remove from the pan to the wire rack and cool completely. (about 1 hour).
