This is one of my favorite fall treats. It is great for breakfast, as a dessert and aslo as a snack with coffee.

Ingredients For pumpkin bread

  • 3 c
    sugar
  • 4
    eggs, beaten
  • 1 c
    vegetable oil
  • 16 oz
    pumpkin, canned or cooked
  • 3 1/2 c
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1 tsp
    allspice
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    cloves
  • 2/3 c
    water

How To Make pumpkin bread

  • 1
    Cream Sugar and oil together. Add eggs and pumpkin. Mix well.

    Sift dry ingredients together. Add them alternating with water (a little at a time) to the pumpkin mixture.

    Grease and flour 2 9x5 inch loaf pans. Pour the batter into the pans.

    Bake at 350 degrees until done, about 1 1/2 hours. A toothpick inserted into the middle should come out clean.

    Let stand 10 minutes. Remove from pans and cool on a wire rack,
